Our Structure


The role of the court is spelt out in Section 16 of the LMDC Law. This provision specifies amongst others that it shall be the responsibility of the Judge of the High Court of Justice, Lagos State, to control and manage effectively proceedings in court and issue orders which would encourage the adoption of ADR methods in dispute resolution, including the mandatory referral of parties to explore settlement at the LMDC whenever one of the parties to an action in court is willing to do so.


Furthermore, the LMDC law states that the responsibility of counsel regarding ADR is to the court, the LMDC and the legal profession. By section 17(3)(a) counsel is required to give due consideration and support to suggestions, orders and directives from the court for an amicable settlement or referral of on-going matters to the LMDC.

The Honourable Chief Judge of Lagos State has full oversight of the LMDC. The role of the Honourable Chief Judge is defined in the LMDC Law.

LMDC Governing Council

The functions and mandate of the Governing Council of the LMDC is entrenched in the LMDC Law. The overall supervision of the LMDC is vested in the Governing Council.

Hon. Justice Jumoke Pedro


Her Lordship is a member of the International and National Association of Women Judges Association. She is a member of the Olave Baden-Powell Society and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Nigeria. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, England, and a Certified Mediator. She is presently the Chairman of the Governing Council Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse. She is the Grand Matron of Federation of International Women Lawyers (FIDA) Lagos Branch. Her Lordship is a Deaconess at the Guiding Light Assembly, and a Chancellor of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion. She is married to Otunba Olufemi Pedro- a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State- and they are blessed with Children and Grand Children.

Hon. Justice (Dr.) L.A.M. Folami


Justice Folami has had a career on the High Court bench of the Lagos State Judiciary spanning a period of over 10 years. She has been an ADR Judge since 2016.Hon. Justice Folami served as the Chief Registrar of the Lagos State Judiciary between March 2008 and September 2010 and as a Magistrate between November 1996 and July, 2010 Justice Folami is the recipient of several merit awards. In her leisure time, Mrs Folami enjoys swimming, jogging and horticulture. She is happily married to Sabitu Olayinka Folami and they are blessed with three children.

Mr. Seyi Katola


Seyi is an accomplished finance professional and prize winner-graduated in 1987 qualified as a Chartered Accountant shortly thereafter and became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria ICAN in 1999; Fellow, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Full Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), a Certified Forensic Accountant (CFA) and an Alumnus of the Institute of Public Private Partnership, Washington DC.

Seyi currently serves as the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of a newly established Universal Integrated Solutions & Investment Services Limited that is into the Power, Real Estates, Health, Oil & Gas and Agricultural Sectors, and Chairman, Bratim Group, Abuja.

Mr. Kenneth Odusanya, B.Sc. FCA


Mr. Kenneth Odusanya is currently the CEO of Kso Associates, a management and tax Consulting firm and the Managing Partner of Kenneth Odusanya & Co, a medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants with clients in almost all sectors of the Nigeria economy. He founded both firms in 1995. Prior to starting his own firm he had worked as Group Finance Controller and Chief Internal Auditor for Honeywell Enterprises Limited and K Chellarams & Sons respectively between 1988 and 1989 when he joined the banking industry. He was Finance Controller and Head of Corporate Finance unit of Metropolitan Merchant Bank at various times between 1989 and 1992 when he resigned to go and be the founder and CEO of a Mortgage Finance outfit.

Mr. Adeleye Olamide Olufayo


Fayo is presently a member of the Dispute Resolina Blakson, IP where he leads the Litigation practice as the Superving Partner to the Ashes over twenty two years of legal practice, Fayo has garnered robust expertise in comparative company law, secured credit transactions, labour and employment muners With expericace in matters relating to companies including legal documentation, regulators compliance and company secretarial services, Fayo once And the Corporate Service Group of the Firm of Aina Hinton and in that capacity led the team of Solicitors providing solations to the business challens of coupons including, without limits, advoory on corporate governance, labour and enplment muters, expatriate quota, immigration, residential permits and regularization.

The Governing Council of the LMDC has 6 Committees. The committees were established to provide support for the Council in promoting the growth and development of the LMDC. The Committees are as follows:

  1. The ADR and Litigation Committee
  2. The LMDC Finance & Administrative Committee
  3. The Screening and Selection Committee
  4. The LMDC Rules, Regulations and Policies Committee
  5. The Funds Committee
  6. The LSW Committee


The LMDC Law provides for the appointment of ADR Judges by the Chief Judge of Lagos State. The ADR Judges have the triune responsibility of addressing recalcitrant parties; endorsing terms of settlement; and promoting ADR within the Judiciary of Lagos State.
